| What is included in your Log Home Package? |
| All of our Log Home Packages are customized to include only the materials that you want or need to build your home as efficiently as possible. We do not believe in including materials in our package that you can purchase at a local building supply for less money. Our Home Package may be purchased with the following options:

| How do I compare the cost of your Log Package to another company's package? |
| Often comparative shopping for a log home can be a nightmare. This is unfortunate and unnecessary. At Wahconah, we look at the big picture and all of the costs related to the construction of your home. Although we often include superior products and larger timbers in our packages, we will be pleased to provide an "apples to apples" comparison to a quote that you provide. |
| What log styles and wood species do you offer? |
| We offer a complete line of low maintenance, weather-tight, energy-efficient milled and hand-crafted log styles. Our many choices can complement almost any design and taste. The milled log profiles include "D" and "DD" round and square chink in a variety of sizes. All milled styles feature our unique tongue and groove interlock systems. We also provide hand hewn and re-sawn profiles. Our corner notching includes; Butt & Pass, Dovetail notches and saddles notches. |
| What about Big Log and Timber Handcrafted Homes? |
| Our handcrafted homes are custom-crafted using a full-scribe technique with a lateral 'V'-notch. This system ensures a tight log-on-log wall system, that does not require heavy chink lines between logs. In addition, all corners are curled with excellent saddle-notch detail. We have several choices in wood species that vary in appearance and cost. Depending on your log system, we offer Eastern White Pine, Englemann Spruce, Douglas Fir, Cypress, Lodge Pole Pine, and Western Red Cedar. All logs are air dried and/or kiln dried to achieve stability and quality. |
| How much home can I afford? |
| We have construction professionals on staff, not salespersons. It is no secret that your home building costs are going to involve a lot more than the price of the log package (no matter how "complete" the package). We can assist you in developing a realistic design and budget that will account for all costs. Helping you get the most home for your money is what we do best. |
| Do you offer construction services? |
| We have knowledgeable craftsmen available for projects in the U.S. Often we work with local contractors and provide supervisory services when needed to save costs. Our construction service can be customized to meet your needs and budget. |
| Can I do all or part of the construction and save money? |
| Our partnering program allows you to select from a menu of options. Chose the construction tasks that you feel comfortable completing yourself. We can help with identifying the skill level, tools, building code requirements, and cost savings involved in your selection. |
| How do we get started? |
| Call us to discuss your building plan needs and budget range. We will provide you with options and appropriate costs. A proper set of building plans goes a long way in helping to establish a budget and controlling costs. We will provide concept sketches and a preliminary floor plan of your home at a very reasonable cost. These preliminary drawings are then used to refine the final plan specifications and budget. Then the preliminary drawings are converted into a complete set of working blueprints. When all costs are identified and the financing is in order, we are then ready to begin construction on your home.
